No bus service for Chinese Grand Prix this year
FORMULA One fans will have to take the Metro or drive to the circuit to watch this year’s Chinese Grand Prix after the shuttle bus service was scrapped.
The 2014 F1 Chinese GP will be held next weekend. Into its 11th year, Juss Event, the organizer, said most fans take Metro Line 11 or drive to the circuit in Jiading District. Before 2013, there were four shuttle bus routes linking the circuit to Shanghai Stadium, Hongkou Football Stadium, Shanghai Gymnastics Center and Yuansheng Stadium in Pudong. With the decreasing number of passengers, the organizer retained only the Shanghai Stadium shuttle bus last year, charging 50 yuan for a return ticket. But that was also done away with this year. The buses will be stationed at the circuit for crowd distribution in case of emergencies.
