Shanghai Wusong International Cruise Terminal has got the clearance by the city’s transport authorities and will start operating soon.

The port in Baoshan District can accommodate two international cruise liners with load capacities of 100,000 and 200,000 tons each.

The terminal will have an annual capacity of 608,000 people, and plans to become one of the busiest ports for liners in Asia.

During trial operations this year, it received a total of 119 liners. By the end of last month, it had received over 597,000 passengers.
