Passenger dies in accident

A PASSENGER on a moped was killed and a driver lost his left foot in a collision with a truck in Chongming County on Saturday.
The moped, driven by a 29-year-old surnamed Chang, ran into the truck about 6:30pm on Saturday. Chang's left foot got trapped under the vehicle and had to be amputated later at hospital, while his cousin Zhang, 25, died at the scene of the accident. The truck driver was later taken away by police. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
