Pedestrian overpass reopening

A pedestrian overpass at the downtown junction of Huashan Road and Yan’an Road W. will be reopened next month because construction plans for a Metro station under the junction have been changed.

Escalators, glass fences and lights on the overpass were dismantled last month because the structure was to be eliminated to make way for the construction of Metro Line 14’s Jing’an Temple station. However, according to new plans, the 17-year-old overpass will be renovated and reopened by the middle of next month.
