Pleasant days ahead, say forecasters
THE city is set to enjoy a pleasant spell of weather over the next few days, although there is a chance of some rain tomorrow.
And while the mercury will dip a little from tomorrow through to Wednesday, the maximum temperature will remain at around 23 to 24 degrees Celsius, weathermen said yesterday.
On Friday, the high is expected to climb back to 25 degrees, while minimum temperatures for the week will range between 17 to 18 degrees, forecast the Shanghai Meteorological Bureau.
It will be mainly sunny with some cloud next week, although there could be overcast skies and some drizzle on Tuesday.
Forecasters said people should be aware that the temperature range within a day may be quite wide.
The bureau also reminded motorists to make allowance for early morning fog in the Yangtze Delta Region.
Yesterday, dense fog hit Jiaxing and Hangzhou, reducing visibility to 50 meters, said the bureau.
"After sunrise, the fog will gradually disperse as the temperature rises," said Zhu Jiehua, a forecaster with the bureau. "And the fog's influence on traffic is expected to disappear after 9am."
