Pleasant weather expected today and tomorrow

WEATHER today and tomorrow is forecast to be pleasant and less humid than earlier this week, with today dominated by cloudy skies and a high of 25 degrees Celsius.

While high pressure behind the cold front has chased away the rain, more precipitation is possible on Saturday.

It was cooler this morning in most districts, with temperatures dropping below 20 degrees Celsius. The lowest mark occurred in Chongming Island, which registered only 16.6 degrees. Temperatures in many other districts ranged from 18 to 19 degrees.

Highs in next five days are predicted to stay between 25 and 27 degrees Celsius, while lows will fall to about 19 to 20 degrees.

With early morning and night temperatures a good bit lower than daytime highs, the Shanghai Meteorological Bureau suggested that residents make sure they have adequate clothing.
