Police database to help find items lost in taxis

Shanghai Dazhong Taxi Co said it has been working with local authorities and will soon publish full details of the hundreds of items left in its vehicles by passengers on the police’s service network.
The company said it has built up a large collection of items left in its cabs, including handbags, guitars, umbrellas, and even ID and social security cards.
The Shanghai Public Security Bureau will post information about the items in its “Lost and Found” section, where people will be able to search for the things they have lost or misplaced, the bureau said.
