THE drunk-driving suspect who allegedly hit two traffic officers during a road check this week was caught in Shanghai by police yesterday.

The investigation was still ongoing last night.
The incident happened about 8:45pm Wednesday when officer Qian Yong and his assistant Wang Rende were checking vehicles for drunk drivers at the intersection of Yushu Road and Cangfeng Road. Zhao was found to be over the blood-alcohol limit but returned to his vehicle and rammed into Qian and Wang before fleeing the scene.
The victims suffered serious fractures after being hit and were still in hospital last night, police said.
