THE newly opened Shanghai-Nanjing high-speed rail line has served 576,300S passengers from July 1 to July 15, Shanghai railway officials said yesterday. After the new bullet trains started service on July 1, most passengers were quick to board the high-speed trains as some regular fast-train services had been canceled. More than 800,000 passengers have taken trains, including the high-speed ones, along stations between Shanghai and Nanjing in the first 15 days of July, a 3.2 percent rise compared with June.
