Prepare for mercury to hit zero
A cold front is coming in that will bring the city’s temperatures down to about zero degrees Celsius later this week, the Shanghai Meteorological Bureau said yesterday.
A change in wind direction helped disperse pollutants yesterday afternoon and the temperature fluctuated between 4 and 10 degrees. Today will be cloudy, with the temperature ranging between 3 and 9.
Drizzle may hit tomorrow, but it should be 1-2 degrees warmer.
Sunny days will return on Thursday, but a cold front from the north will also arrive, bringing air pollutants and lowering temperatures. Over the weekend, the low is expected to be zero.
