WORK has begun on a new waiting hall with a flower-shaped roof at the north square of Shanghai Railway Station, Oriental Morning Post reported today.
The two-story waiting hall covers 15,600 square meters and is scheduled to be completed next year before the Shanghai World Expo opens. The waiting hall can accommodate 8,000 people and is designed without barriers.
