Rain set to keep weekend cool
Shanghai will remain cool over the next three days with rain persisting, forecasters said yesterday. Shanghai Meteorological Bureau said that because of the rain, temperatures should range between 25 and 31 degrees Celsius until Tuesday.
Showers affected suburban areas of Shanghai yesterday but did not cause floods. The bureau had forecast heavy showers but bureau officer Fu Yi said: "The northern air masses were still strong yesterday and the subtropical high was weakened, which restrained the northern movement of the rain zone."
