Rain ... until next month

WET days will return today and probably last until early next month, forecasters said yesterday.

But the good news is that it will remain cool with the highest temperatures between 25 and 28 degrees Celsius — unlike the humid conditions often characteristic of the plum rain season.

Today is forecast to be overcast with showers and temperatures of between 22 and 26 degrees, the Shanghai Meteorological Bureau said.

Showers will be stronger tomorrow, and the highest temperature will drop 1 degree.

On Friday, it should still be overcast with showers and temperatures of between 23 and 26 degrees.

Rain is expected over the weekend and into next week.
