Rainstorm disrupted dozens of flights

More than 30 flights were cancelled and 46 were delayed at Pudong and Hongqiao international airports this morning because of heavy rainstorms.

Wide range of delays occurred at around 7:30am today at Hongqiao airport as only half of the 10 planned flights were able to take off. A flight to Nanning of southwest China's Guangxi Autonomous Region was delayed for over two hours.

In the Pudong airport, some 16 flights were cancelled and another five were delayed because of the storm.

The flight takeoff and landing went back to normal around noon as the rain stopped.
