Roads to be closed for bike race

SOME streets in Pudong New Area and Xuhui District will be closed on Friday and Saturday to make way for the International Road Cycling Tour of Shanghai, police announced yesterday.
On Friday, some streets around the Dishui Lake in Pudong will be affected by the event.
From midnight to noon, no vehicles will be allowed to use Huanhu Road W1, Huanhu Road N1 and Huanhu Road E1 between Shengang Avenue and Donggang Avenue.
Meanwhile, between 9am and 12pm, Huanhu Road E2, Donggang Avenue between Huanhu Road E1 and Huanhu Road E2 and Huanhu Road N2 between Donggang Avenue and Lingang Avenue will be also shut down to traffic.
On Saturday, in Xuhui District, Fenggu Road between Yunjin Road and Longteng Avenue be blocked from 6am to 6pm, as well as Longteng Avenue between Ruining Road and Longshui Road S. from 1:30pm to 4:30pm. More than 100 cyclists in 18 teams from 25 countries and regions are competing.
