Security Takes A Front Seat

METRO authorities said yesterday that they would set up 30 security check points in 12 stations of five lines starting September 25. Thirty X-ray machines will be added.
Passengers carrying luggage and big bags will be asked to put them through the machines in busy stations, including People's Square, Zhongshan Park, Shanghai Railway, Baoshan Road, Yaohua Road and Longyang Road.
Security checks and scanners will be added to all 280 stations before Shanghai 2010 World Expo starts in May.
