Showers to bring heat relief

SHANGHAI is likely to see thunder showers during the rest of today and tomorrow morning under the impact of the current convective weather.
The good news is that it will bring some relief from four consecutive days of scorching heat.
The mercury had already begun to drop early in the afternoon following a short burst of heavy squall, when the weathermen lifted a yellow high-temperature warning, which was issued this morning.
Maximum temperatures at the weekend will also ease because of a cold current and rains, the weather bureau forecast.
