Snow cancels some bus, train services
SHANGHAI Intercity Bus Terminal suspended all service at 7:30am today due to snow, icy roads, and an increase in accidents, traffic officials said.
Shanghai South Intercity Bus Station also suspended some services on routes to Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Fujian and Anhui provinces. Passengers with tickets for today's services can get a full refund before March 8.
Meanwhile, 12 bullet trains going to Hangzhou and Ningbo were suspended at 8:20am, and seven heading for Beijing were postponed, according to the Shanghai Railway Administration.
But it is business as usual at the city's Pudong and Hongqiao airports.
The Chongqi Bridge, linking Shanghai's Chongming Island with Qidong in Jiangsu Province, remains open to traffic today.
