Snow hits Shanghai-Beijing flights
FLIGHTS between Shanghai and Beijing have been hit by heavy snow in the capital today.
Many flights from Beijing Airport were canceled and flights from Hongqiao International Airport to the capital have experienced delays.
Most flights on the route have been delayed, some up to two hours, said Shanghai airport authorities.
The situation was expected to ease this afternoon as the weather improved, said officials.
Bullet train services along the Beijing-Shanghai line were running smoothly despite the bad weather, said the railway operator. No delays were reported.
Elsewhere, flights from Guangzhou, in southern China's Guangdong Province were unable to take off because of torrential rain.
