Special taxis to be provided
PEOPLE attending the 2010 Shanghai World Expo will enjoy the services of a specialist team of 4,000 taxis from the city's major cab companies via a multilingual booking service.
The service will begin a test run next March, two months ahead of the Expo's official start. Visitors can call the service to book the taxis, the only commuter vehicles allowed into the exhibition area. The phone lined will provide English, French and Japanese services. An online booking service would also be available, taxi companies said yesterday.
