Spring could officially start today
SPRING might officially start today, as the daily average temperature for the next four days is expected to stay above 10 degrees Celsius, forecasters said.
The Shanghai Meteorological Bureau states that spring starts when the temperature averages 10 degrees or more for five consecutive days.
The first of those five days is then considered the first day of spring.
Today is likely to be sunny, with a high of 20 degrees. It will likely rain tomorrow due to a low-pressure system.
The highs at the weekend will be lower, but should remain in the mid-teens, with the lows ranging between 9 and 10 degrees.
