Station Goes Underground
THE Metro operator, Shanghai Shentong Group, announced yesterday that the construction project and signal testing that converted the above-ground Zhangjiang High-Tech Park Station into an underground one has been finished.
The restructured Zhangjiang High-Tech Park Station will reopen tomorrow with two new stations, Jinke Road and Guanglan Road, extending the line farther east.
The line is to be stretched as far as the Pudong International Airport by the end of March.
Service has been temporarily suspended for the project since February 14.
