Station on verge of new record

WHEN Metro Line 18 opens in 2020, Longyang Road will become the only station in Shanghai to provide a connection to five separate railway lines, officials said yesterday.
The station currently provides links to Metro Lines 2, 7 and 16 and the maglev service.
It jointly holds the “most connections” title with Century Avenue Station, which is a hub for Metro lines 2, 4, 6 and 9.
Line 18 will include 26 stations and run for almost 37 kilometers through the Pudong New Area and Baoshan and Yangpu districts.
The entrance to Longyang Road for Line 18 will be on Baiyang Road.
