Staying hydrated in record temperatures
Two children enjoy iced drinks to stay cool on Huaihai Road M as the city's highest temperature hit 39 degrees Celsius at 1:30pm today. Shanghai has already recorded 23 high-temperature days today, equalling the previous record in July 1934. If the temperature hits above 35 degrees Celsius again tomorrow, this July could become the hottest month since 1873. -- Wang Rongjiang
