Subway chaos

A TRAIN on Metro Line 9 broke down at Jiuting Station during morning rush hour yesterday, affecting the whole line and holding up traffic at the station for about half an hour. Some people posted microblogs around 8:40am, saying the train halted at Jiuting Station in suburban Songjiang District for about 30 minutes and passengers on the train and following trains were told to get off, causing chaos at the station. Shanghai Metro said the problem was fixed before 10am and the service on the entire Line 9 returned to normal.
