SUMMER may be here, but an umbrella will be more useful than sunglasses this week. Cloud and rain are expected almost every day until Friday, the Shanghai Meteorological Bureau said yesterday.
For today, the high temperature will be 19 degrees Celsius. The mercury will rise gradually from tomorrow's 23 degrees to 26 degrees on Friday. The low will be between 16 and 18 degrees, forecasters said. When average temperature reached 22 degrees for five consecutive days, the city officially announced summer had started on May 13.
