Sunshine and clouds on cards

AFTER the chills of yesterday, today will be warmer, with the mercury set to rise to a high of 8 degrees Celsius, with the low unlikely to fall below 1 degree.

The day will also be less windy, with the overall outlook being a mixture of sunshine and cloud, forecasters said.

Tomorrow will be warmer still, with a high of 11 degrees, while on Sunday the mercury could reach as high as the low teens.

The last day of the week will, however, also see some rain, and this is expected to continue though Monday and Tuesday, the forecasters said.

The city’s lowest temperature yesterday was measured at minus 1.2 degrees in suburban Chongming County, though the official low was a shade above zero.
