The sun has got its hat on ...
SUNNY days are here again — and just in time for the big return to work.
Forecasters said that today, the first working day of the Year of the Dog, will be overcast to cloudy, with temperatures ranging from 5 to 9 degrees Celsius.
The mercury tomorrow morning will stay around 4 degrees, but after that the sun has got its hat on. The temperature will soon rise to 15 degrees.
Saturday will see some drizzle, but it will remain warm, with temperatures fluctuating from 7 to 12 degrees. The rain will stop on Sunday, and the mercury will remain stable, according to Shanghai Meteorological Bureau.
Monday will be wet again, with temperatures ranging from 6 to 15 degrees.
Air quality will be fine through Saturday, except for some light pollution late today, according to the city’s environmental protection authority.
Last Monday marked yushui, or rain water, the second of the 24 solar terms. Traditionally, it implies an increase in rain as well as temperature.
Wednesday of last week was so far the warmest day this winter, with the high reaching 18 degrees. But the mercury plummeted overnight, dropping to 9 degrees last Thursday.
