Tour city parks for free

FREE tours of parks across the city are being offered by the Shanghai Greenery and Public Sanitation Bureau. There will be eight routes with two parks included in each. The Xisha Wetland Park in Chongming County, Century Park in the Pudong New Area, Punan Forest in Songjiang District, Mingzhu Lake in Chongming, Qingxi Wetland in Qingpu District and the Paotaiwan Wetland Forestry Park in Baoshan District feature on the list. The deadline for applications is October 20 and tours will take place late this month or early next month, the bureau said. Spaces are limited to 25 people for each trip. The initiative is aimed at raising people’s awareness in protecting the environment. Call 63166666 for details.
