Tourist sites to offer cheap tickets
MANY of Shanghai’s tourist attractions will raise their ticket prices in the coming months, but for one week in September, 61 of the city’s most popular sites are offering half-price admission.
The special deals will be available during the first week of the Shanghai Tourism Festival at the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, Fengjing Water Town, and the Science and Technology Museum among others.
The festival runs from September 12 until October 6, but the deal applies only from September 12 to 18.
Oriental Pearl TV Tower said last week it will raise its ticket prices by 20 yuan (US$3.10) from next March, while the Shanghai Ocean Aquarium and Shanghai Wildlife Park will both raise their prices by 30 yuan later this year.
