Traffic limited for tourism float parade

TRAFFIC will be banned in some downtown areas on Friday and Saturday for the float parade at the opening of the Shanghai Tourism Festival.
The section of Huaihai Road M. between Xizang Road S. and Shaanxi Road S. will be closed to all vehicles from late Friday to Saturday, the Shanghai Public Security Bureau said yesterday.
Other thoroughfares, such as Liulin Road, Pu'an Road, Taoyuan Road and Wangting Road, will also face traffic restrictions on Saturday from 5pm to 9:30pm. From 6:30pm to 9:30pm on Saturday, vehicles will not be allowed to cross Huaihai Road M. between the intersections of Huangpi Road S. and Shaanxi Road S. Vehicles will also be banned on the off-ramp of Huaihai Road on the South-North Elevated Road on Saturday from 7:30pm to 9:30pm, said the bureau.
