Traffic restrictions for parade

TRAFFIC will be restricted in downtown Shanghai tomorrow evening and on Saturday for the float parade for the Shanghai Tourism Festival.
No vehicles will be allowed along Huaihai Road M. (the section between Xizang Road S. and Chongqing Road S.) from 9:30pm tomorrow to 2am on Saturday, the Shanghai Public Security Bureau announced. The section on Huaihai Road M. between Huangpi Road S. and Shaanxi Road S. will also be off limits for vehicles from 6:30pm to 9:30pm on Saturday.
Some roads connecting to Huaihai Road M. will also be closed from 5pm to 9:30pm on Saturday. The affected areas are Liulin, Pu’an, Taoyuan and Wangting roads. Longmen Road, a stretch connecting Huaihai Road M. and Jinling Road M., will be closed to vehicles from 9:30pm on Friday until midnight.
Traffic may also be blocked on Jinling Road M. and Changle Road on the two days depending on the situation.
The elevated way’s exit on Huaihai Road will also be closed from 7:30pm to 9:30pm on Saturday. Public buses on the routes will make detours during the restricted travel time.
