Traffic stops for parade

TRAFFIC will be banned at some downtown areas from late tomorrow to Sunday for the float parade celebrating the opening of the Shanghai Tourism Festival.
The section of Huaihai Road M. between Xizang Road S. and Shaanxi Road S. will be closed to all vehicles from 5pm to 9:30pm on Sunday, Shanghai Security Bureau said yesterday.
Other thoroughfares, such as Liulin Road, Pu'an Road, Taoyuan Road and Wangting Road, will also face traffic restrictions on Sunday from 5pm to 9:30pm.
From 7:30pm on Sunday vehicles will not be allowed to cross Huaihai Road M. from the intersections of Chongqing Road and Ruijin No. 1 Road.
Vehicles will be banned on Huaihai Road M. between Xizang Road and Chongqing Road from 10pm tomorrow to 1am on Sunday for the rehearsal, the bureau said.
