Transport card discounts expand today

PASSENGERS with transport cards transferring between buses or the Metro are now eligible for a one-yuan (14 US cents) discount on all 1,041 bus routes in the city.
And from today the time allowed for the discount between getting on a bus or Metro and catching the next has been extended from 90 minutes to two hours, the Oriental Morning Post reported today.
The discount scheme has been expanded from the 423 bus routes inside the Inner Ring Road.
Transfers between Metro trains do not qualify for discounts but Metro commuters spending 70 yuan on travel in a month are eligible for a 10 percent discount.
