Travel fair focuses on outbound tourism market

A three-day travel trade fair focusing on China's outbound tourism market will take place at Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center in May, gathering about 600 exhibitors from destinations, organizations and travel service providers across the world.

Tourism experts and insiders will share their insights on how to boost exchange in the tourism area between China and Europe as next year will mark the EU-China Year for Tourism and the development trend of China's travel industry during ITB China 2017 to be hosted between May 10 and 12, organizers said today.

A Europe pavilion will showcase a diversified range of itineraries in European countries including Czech, Belgium, and Hungary during the fair.

Europe attracted 10.2 million Chinese visitors last year, which accounted for 11 percent of outbound travel from China, according to the European Travel Commission.
