Travel fair offers a world of deals

PEOPLE planning their holidays can book reasonably priced tour packages at the World Travel Fair 2010, running at the Shanghai Exhibition Center.

By getting a "WTF travel passport" and getting it stamped at exhibitors' booths, visitors will be eligible for discounts for cruise ship, outbound and Expo packages up to 35 percent off, organizers said.

Organizers said most of the packages provided on the fair will be "in-depth" or carry a special theme. Examples include a five-day food trip to Saipan and a wedding trip to Mexico.

Expo tours will be another highlight. Altogether 13 World Expo designated tour agencies will promote domestic tour packages, designed especially for Expo visitors.

The three-day fair opens to the public at 1pm today. It will run from 9am to 4pm tomorrow.

The fair is bringing nearly 450 exhibitors from about 50 countries and regions. The United States, Japan and Australia will have the biggest stands, organizers said.
