Truck kills girl

A 12-YEAR-OLD girl was killed and her father was injured after their electric bike was hit by a cement truck in Zhabei District yesterday morning. The girl, a fifth-grade pupil on her way to her final exams, was crushed by the wheels of the truck. The girl's father, who suffered minor leg injures, was sent to a nearby hospital where he is in a stable condition. Witnesses said the truck driver was driving too fast. At least six people have died in five accidents involving cement mixers in the past month.
