Two timetables for Metro Line 9
TRAINS running on Metro Line 9 will operate on two timetables to cater to passenger volumes after the line's second phase opens by the end of the year.
More frequent trains will run in the section between the line's eastern terminal at Yanggao Road M. Station in Pudong and Zhongchun Road Station in Puxi's Minhang District.
There will be longer delays between trains from Yanggao Road M. Station to the western terminal of Songjiang New City Station, Zhu Xiaojie, general manager of Shanghai Metro No. 1 Operation Co, told today's Shanghai Morning Post.
When the second phase opens, Metro Line 9 will extend to 41 kilometers from the current 31km.
Passengers will be able to transfer between Line 9 and Line 1 at Xujiahui Station from the end of March next year.
