Warmer but weekend to be wet
A WARMER but partly rainy weekend is on the cards with temperatures on Valentine’s Day expected to hit a high of 17 degrees Celsius, forecasters said.
Couples can prepare for a memorable evening with forecasters predicting that Saturday will be mainly cloudy and gray. It is expected to rain on Sunday.
Smog will return to the city today with temperatures climbing to a high of 15 degrees Celsius under sunny skies. The high for the rest of this week will remain in teens with the low also trending warm. Temperatures tomorrow and on Friday will fluctuate between 6 and 14 degrees. After a warmer Saturday, the mercury will drop to between 12 and 16 degrees.
Skies from Thursday to Saturday will mostly be clear. A gray cover is expected on Sunday with light showers.
While it may feel now like spring is upon us already, the meteorological bureau said the arrival of spring will be announced after the average temperature stays above 10 degrees for five straight days.
