Warmer weather expected to continue into weekend
THE city is likely to keep warming up this week with a high of over 10 degrees Celsius continuing into the weekend, forecasters said.
However, on Sunday Shanghai will be hit by a cold front and temperatures will drop below 10 degrees. Yesterday morning was the last chilly one this week with the lows in suburban areas dropping to minus 3.2 degrees. The lowest reading was recorded in Fengxian District and the other suburban districts saw lows ranging from minus 3 to 0. But the mercury soon bounced back, reaching a high of 10 degrees, and will continue climbing today, with a high of 11 and a low of 3, and will hit 15 degrees tomorrow.
The temperature will then drop to 13 degrees on Friday, 11 degrees on Saturday, and 9 degrees on Sunday. The low from Thursday to Saturday is expected to be between 5 and 7 degrees and will drop down to 3 degrees on Sunday.
The sunshine will be with us through today, but tomorrow clouds will bring some drizzle. It will be cloudy and overcast over the weekend.
