Warmer weather next week

THE mercury will drop a bit over the weekend but rise from next week with some precipitation expected, the weather forecaster said yesterday.

The temperature will drop to 5 degrees Celsius today and 7 degrees Sunday morning, and frost will make an appearance in some areas, according to the Shanghai meteorological bureau.

“Haze and slight air pollution are expected over the weekend due to weak wind,” said the bureau’s Kong Chunyan.

The mercury will start rising up to 20 degrees from Monday and several rainy days are expected from Thursday.
