SHANGHAI'S suburban districts will hold hearings into water price rises this month. The first will be in Songjiang District to discuss the planned rise from 1.84 yuan (27 US cents) per cubic meter to 2.3 yuan next month and to 2.8 yuan by next November.
Qingpu District and Chongming County will also have hearings this year.
