Weather Bureau Promises Warmer Temperatures
AFTER being swept by chilly winds, the city will be bathed in warm sunshine for the rest of the week, weathermen said yesterday.
The Shanghai Meteorological Bureau said temperatures will start to bounce back today with a high of 21 degrees Celsius on Sunday and winter is still far away, according to the bureau.
"The latest national cold front has come to an end and southern China has started to warm up," said Zhang Ruiyi, a chief service officer at the bureau. "The increase of subtropical high pressure is another reason for the temperature rising."
Today will be cloudy to overcast with temperatures ranging from a low of 11 degrees to a high of 17.
