Xiangyang Park to reopen

XIANGYANG Park in Xuhui District will reopen to the public on September 30 after the completion of renovation work, the Xuhui District greenery bureau said yesterday. The wall around the park will be torn down and three new entrances will be established.

The project also includes the demolition of some old buildings and the installation of a new lighting system. Nineteen surveillance cameras will be installed in preparation for the extension of the park’s opening hours. The popular park was established in 1941 and has an area of about 22,000 square meters.
