10 arrested over diesel theft

POLICE have arrested 10 people in Baoshan District on charges of stealing diesel and selling it to truck drivers, police said yesterday.
Police raided a parking lot and seized four mini buses and four tons of oil, as well as buckets and pipes.
Police began investigating last year after a truck driver reported his tank had been tampered with in Loutang Town. Two other trucks had also been emptied, with total losses amounting to 2,000 yuan (US$290).
