THE Songjiang District People's Court yesterday sentenced Hou Bin, a migrant worker from Anhui Province, to one year in prison for abducting a two-year-old girl.
Hou, 38, lived next door to the girl's family. He wanted to have a daughter because he had two sons already. On January 8, he saw the girl playing by herself and offered to buy her breakfast. He then took the girl back to his hometown by train.
