2 charged over fake cab scam

TWO men have been charged with stealing equipment from taxis, including car plates, an in-car camera and invoice rolls, to use in fake cabs. The Fengxian District People’s Procuratorate said yesterday investigations began in September when a taxi driver complained to police.
The pair are accused of stealing from four taxis overnight from September 6 to 7. The procuratorate said the pair confessed to stealing three pairs of plates, an in-car camera, invoice rolls and a printer.
