2 face auction 'crash' counts
TWO men who crashed the network server of the city's car-plate auction in July have been arrested. Zhou Xiongfeng, a Zhejiang Province native, and Wang Yongfeng, a Shandong Province native, were charged with destroying the computer system by the Shanghai No. 2 Intermediate Prosecutors' Office.
Zhou decided to attack the server in a bid to get a cheap plate. He paid Wang to spread a Trojan virus on the Internet. Zhou got control of 5,400 computers and programmed them to attack the auction Website on July 18. The auction had to be postponed.
