Two pedestrians died at the scene after being knocked down at a T-junction in the Pudong New Area on Sunday. A red Audi collided with the women at Xiupu Road at 5:50pm. The 25-year-old female driver has three yearsÕ driving experience. According to a witness, the car was traveling at high speed. After hitting the pedestrians, the vehicle continued 60 meters before stopping. The victims, reported to be Jiangsu Province natives in their 50s who lived nearby, suffered severe head injuries. The driver was detained by police.
