2 women die as truck slams into cars

TWO women were killed and three were injured when an earth-moving truck crashed into two cars which had stopped after being involved in a small accident on Jiyang Road in Shanghai’s Pudong New Area at 9:30am yesterday.
The two women from each car had alighted to deal with accident when the truck slammed into the cars, hurtling them over 10 meters. The women died at the scene. Another three persons were injured and rushed to a local hospital by ambulance.
A 51-year-old woman surnamed Huang was in critical condition. Sun Guixin, a doctor at Shanghai East Hospital, said Huang had multiple injuries and was in shock due to blood loss. She also broke her hip as well as fractured her limbs and injured her neck. The other two victims had small injuries.
The cause of the accident was still being investigated.
